Deborah Conroy is a Tasmanian based artist who exhibits regularly. She is the recipient of several art awards and her art is represented in private collections in Australia's major cities as well as overseas. Deborah has been an art teacher as well as pursuing her own work for 25 years. Her interests include gardening, cooking, traveling, family activities and collecting just about anything but especially shells. She particularly enjoys painting the natural world of flowers, playful animals, sea shells, childhood fantasies and people engaged in life's simple daily activities. Much of Deborah's work reflects her early life of being raised on a farm in rural Tasmania closely in touch with nature, her family and local community life. Her work is rich in colour with bold designs and embellished with decorative detail. Her favourite media are water colours and gouache.
